Step-by-Step Installation Process
Following the Corrext process can help you remain safe:
» 1. Safe Removal of Old Tires: Use a hydraulic jack to elevate the vehicle securely, placing it on jack stands for stability. Before fully lifting, use a lug wrench to slightly loosen the lug nuts on the old tires. Once the vehicle is fully raised, remove the loosened lug nuts and carefully take off the old tires, setting them aside.
» 2. Precise Installation of New Tires: Inspect the new tires for any visible damage or defects, ensuring they correspond to the recommended size and type for your vehicle. Gently place the new tires onto the wheel hubs, aligning the bolt holes with the studs. Hand-tighten the lug nuts onto the new tires to firmly secure them.
» 3. Proper Lug Nut Tightening and Torque Verification: Lower the vehicle to the ground using the hydraulic jack. Utilize a torque wrench to systematically tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern to ensure consistent pressure. Consult your vehicle’s manual for the recommended torque specifications.
